VINCI Airports promotes special reception to passengers

Salvador Bahia Airport (SSA) will take part in the Smiling Day event for the first time on April 6.  The event is a global VINCI Airports initiative that aims at mobilizing the airport community, highlighting its attributes of hospitality, loyalty and dedication to service.

At Salvador Bahia Airport, passengers will be greeted by a concert by the Los Candelas band (from 10am to 2pm), distribution of Senhor do Bonfim souvenirs and “cocadas” (from 10am to 4pm). In addition, employees from all sectors of the airport will participate in the event, distributing balloons to children, going about the terminal’s daily activities and welcoming passengers.

The first edition of Smiling Day took place in 2012 at Nantes Airport, in France, and has since been extended to the entire network operated by VINCI Airports around the world. In 2018, 36 of the Group’s airports will participate, 13 of which will connect live through social networks.

VINCI Airports, which became the official operator of Salvador Bahia Airport in January 2018, also invites passengers and staff to share their Smiling Day experiences on social networks using the hashtag #SmilingDay18.
