Salvador Bahia Airport, a member of VINCI Airports, welcomes the AFROPUNK Brasil 2025 audience with a special activation that turns the terminal into part of the festival experience. As the Official Airport of AFROPUNK Brasil, the terminal celebrates the partnership through the Black Carpet, an instagrammable space in the domestic arrivals area that invites passengers and visitors to immerse themselves in the energy and aesthetics that define the movement.

The initiative goes beyond decoration. With static and digital media displayed throughout the terminal, the airport stands out as the main gateway for both national and international visitors arriving in Salvador to experience AFROPUNK Brasil. In 2025, the festival will bring together people from all Brazilian states and 25 confirmed countries, with over 40% of participants coming from outside Bahia, according to data shared by the festival’s organizers. Among the countries with the largest presence are the United States, United Kingdom, Colombia, Spain, and the Netherlands, reinforcing the airport’s role as a strategic point of connection between cultures, destinations, and experiences.

“The partnership with AFROPUNK Brasil represents Salvador Bahia Airport’s purpose of connecting people to transform stories. Welcoming visitors from around the world and offering them an arrival experience inspired by art and identity is also a way to celebrate the diversity that defines Salvador’s essence,”
says Daniela Franco, Communication Manager at Salvador Bahia Airport.

AFROPUNK Brasil

On November 8 and 9, Salvador will once again become the stage for AFROPUNK Brasil 2025. Now in its fifth edition in the city, the festival continues its mission to celebrate Black culture in its fullest expression, connecting generations, narratives, and experiences. This year’s lineup will feature unique performances from Coco Jones, Péricles, Liniker, BaianaSystem, Budah, BK’, Núbia featuring Muzenza, ÀTTOOXXÁ, DJ Umiranda, DJ Boneka, among others — artists who embody the diversity and strength of the movement.
