The Air Cargo Terminal (TECA) at Salvador Bahia Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, handled 4,061 tonnes of cargo in July, the highest monthly volume recorded by the terminal in 2026. The result also set a new record for TECA, surpassing the previous mark of 3,697 tonnes, recorded in November last year. The figure represents a 16% increase compared with July 2025. From January through July, the terminal handled a total of 24,690 tonnes.
Of the total volume recorded in July, 890 tonnes were related to foreign trade operations, including imports and exports. The mobility segment, which includes automotive and aircraft parts, was the main highlight among imported cargo, with a 739% increase in volume compared with the same period in 2025. Domestic cargo also recorded growth, contributing to the terminal’s performance during the period.
“The growth in cargo volumes demonstrates TECA’s ability to keep pace with evolving demand and efficiently handle different types of operations. More than an operational result, this performance reinforces the terminal’s strategic importance to Bahia’s economy by facilitating the movement of goods, strengthening foreign trade and expanding Bahia’s connections with domestic and international markets. This operation directly contributes to economic activity and to the state’s competitiveness,” says Julio Ribas, CEO of Salvador Bahia Airport.
