Salvador Bahia Airport is one of the main airports in the Northeast of Brazil, and we are committed to providing an inclusive and accessible travel experience for all passengers. From arrival to departure, various measures have been implemented to ensure that people with disabilities, reduced mobility, and seniors can use the airport with comfort and safety.

Our commitment to accessibility

We believe that accessibility is a fundamental value. For this reason, our staff undergoes regular training to assist people with disabilities, ensuring the best support throughout the journey.

Our passengers with disabilities can look for staff members wearing a blue badge on their ID cards to receive guidance and assistance. Additionally, exclusive phones are available near the terminal entrance.

Making travel accessible

We have developed a modern and adapted infrastructure, featuring elevators and access ramps. Our restrooms include adapted stalls with support bars, low sinks, and wide doors, ensuring comfort and safety for passengers with disabilities.

Additionally, when airlines inform us of their passengers' needs, our team allocates aircraft to boarding bridges and closer to exits to facilitate movement. All these efforts reflect our ongoing commitment to accessibility and the continuous improvement of our services, so that all passengers can enjoy a smooth and comfortable journey.

An important step before your trip: Inform the airline

According to the regulations of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), it is the airline's responsibility to provide assistance to passengers with disabilities (PCD) from the moment of check-in until access to the restricted area, and after disembarking. It is important to highlight that Salvador Airport is not responsible for providing this assistance.  

Therefore, it is essential that passengers with disabilities inform the airline in advance about the type of assistance they require, either at the time of purchasing the ticket or through the company's customer service channels. This way, the airline can ensure that all assistance procedures are followed, allowing the passenger to have a comfortable and safe travel experience.
