For domestic travel within Brazil, pets must be accompanied by a health certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian. For other species of animals, a Veterinary Transit Guide (GTA) issued by a veterinarian authorized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA) or the state health defense authority is required. For wild animals, authorization from the Brazilian Institute of the Environment and Renewable Natural Resources (IBAMA) is also mandatory. It is recommended to contact your airline for detailed information about transport conditions.
Carry-on luggage must not contain sharp or pointed objects, flammable items, explosives, weapons, or any other materials classified as dangerous goods.
