Check-in

Tips and Important Information

Fly without worries: Check-in in advance and make the most of your trip!

Check-in is a mandatory procedure that must be completed before boarding a flight. It is where the airline confirms the passenger's presence and their respective baggage. To avoid delays and unforeseen circumstances, it’s important to respect the minimum check-in time required by your airline. This information may vary depending on the airline and the flight's destination.

To ensure you check-in correctly and have all the necessary information, it's important to contact the airline or your travel agent. They can provide specific guidance and help clarify any doubts you may have. Remember: checking in early is essential for a smooth and hassle-free trip.

Make your trip easier: Know the different types of check-ins

Choose the best check-in option for your trip to avoid queues and delays at the airport.

1

Online Check-in

Online check-in is an excellent option for those who want to avoid queues and enjoy a more peaceful boarding experience. To check in online, simply visit your airline's website or app and validate your details. Pay attention to the check-in release time, which is usually 48 hours before the flight time. Check this directly with the airline.

After confirming the information, you will receive your boarding pass via email or SMS, which should be presented (either electronically or printed) whenever requested at the airport. If you have checked baggage, head to the airline's counter when you arrive at the airport.

2

Self-service Kiosk Check-in

For a more convenient check-in, self-service kiosks are a great option. With them, you can skip the airline counter queues and complete the process quickly. Just have your reservation number and a government-issued photo ID handy. The kiosk will automatically print your boarding pass and baggage receipts, if necessary. If you need to check baggage, complete the check-in at the kiosk and proceed to the airline counter.

At Salvador Bahia Airport, the self-service kiosks are located near the airline check-in areas.

3

Check-in at the Airline Counter

If you’re unsure about checking in on your own, don’t worry! When you arrive at the airport, simply head to your airline's counter with your documents and booking code.

Remember that if you are flying internationally, you will need to present your passport and entry visa. To ensure everything goes smoothly, it’s important to arrive at least 2 hours in advance for domestic flights and 3 hours for international flights.

This way, you'll have enough time to check in calmly, check your baggage (if necessary), and still enjoy the amenities the airport offers.
