Salvador Bahia Airport will open a new VIP lounge in 2026. The space, currently under construction, is part of the strategy to enhance the passenger experience at the Bahian terminal and will expand the range of premium services available at the airport.
More than offering comfort during waiting time, the new lounge aims to create an experience connected to the destination. The project is being developed by architect Thaís Abreu, who also designed the airport’s new Food Court, and will be based on the concept of sense of place, in which Bahia’s identity will be present throughout the entire environment. The proposal is for the space to reflect the soul of the Bahian capital not only through its décor, but also through its curation, objects, and details that reinforce the cultural connection with the destination.
Inspired by the idea of a lounge with the atmosphere of a living room, the space will be built around the principles of comfort, familiarity, and relaxation, providing a welcoming environment where passengers can unwind before boarding. The expectation is that the new VIP lounge will reinforce Salvador Bahia Airport’s position as a benchmark in the airport experience, offering an environment that combines comfort, local identity, and hospitality.
