Salvador Bahia Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, inaugurated the Amaní Lounge, the terminal’s new VIP lounge, this Tuesday (13). With an investment of R$ 8 million, an area of 430 m², and capacity for more than 140 people, the space is managed directly by VINCI Airports and was designed to transform waiting time into an experience of hospitality, relaxation, and connection with Salvador. The inauguration event was attended by guests and VINCI Airports executives from Brazil and France.
The new VIP lounge offers an intimate and welcoming atmosphere, with architectural features and decorative elements that reflect Bahia’s identity. The project was designed by architect Thaís Abreu, who was also responsible for the design of the airport’s new Food Court.
Inspired by a living room, the space was designed to provide a pause during the journey, in an environment that combines convenience, hospitality, and tranquility. The idea is to invite passengers to slow down and enjoy the time before boarding.

The space offers two different access options: a partnership with Dragon Pass and a Day Use option, and is open from 8 a.m. to midnight. The lounge is located in the departures area, on the first floor, toward gates 18 to 26.
“The Amaní Lounge represents a new way of experiencing the airport and reinforces our vision that the passenger experience goes far beyond the moment of boarding. By directly managing this space, we have the opportunity to bring our vision of hospitality to life and create an experience connected to Salvador’s identity. We have incorporated the concept of sense of place so that passengers can not only rest and enjoy their time before the flight, but also experience elements that convey the city’s culture and atmosphere. It is another way to transform the time spent at the airport into an experience that begins even before the journey itself,” says Júlia Orrico, Commercial Director of Salvador Bahia Airport.

Located in the capital of the state of Bahia, Salvador Bahia Airport is the first concession in the VINCI Airports network in Brazil, which took over its operations on January 2, 2018. Since then, Salvador Airport has incorporated global operational standards, seeking to offer greater efficiency, safety, and a better travel experience for its passengers. With an investment of R$ 700 million in terminal modernization and expansion works, it increased its capacity by 50%, serving up to 15 million passengers per year. In addition, it was awarded the Ethnic-Racial Diversity Seal by the Municipal Secretariat of Reparation of Salvador in recognition of its initiatives to combat institutional racism. Salvador Bahia Airport also stands out as the “Most Sustainable Airport in Brazil,” leading environmental preservation initiatives.
VINCI Airports, a global leader in private airport operations, operates more than 70 airports in 14 countries. Thanks to its expertise as a global integrator, VINCI Airports develops, finances, builds, and manages airports, leveraging its investment capacity and know-how to optimize operational performance, modernize infrastructure, manage operations, and drive environmental transition. VINCI Airports was the first airport operator to commit to an international environmental strategy in 2016, aiming to achieve net-zero emissions across its entire network by 2050.
