Salvador Bahia Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, welcomed this Monday (4) the pilgrim image of Saint Dulce of the Poor. The visit was part of the celebrations for the Feast of Saint Dulce and offered a symbolic moment of spirituality to passengers, visitors, and employees passing through the terminal throughout the day.

The initiative strengthens the connection between the airport and the legacy of the Bahian saint. Since 2022, the terminal has hosted a permanent space honoring her life and work, located on the ground floor of the airport. This area includes a chapel, a small memorial, and a space dedicated to religious tourism. The project was created in partnership between Salvador Bahia Airport and the Irmã Dulce Social Works (OSID).

“Saint Dulce of the Poor is a symbol of faith who attracts thousands of devotees to Bahia every year. Hosting the pilgrim image at the airport is a way to celebrate this spirituality and highlight religious tourism as part of our cultural identity,” said Daniela Franco, Communication Manager at VINCI Airports in Brazil.
