Salvador Bahia Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network, recorded a total of 8.1 million passengers in 2025, representing a 6.3% increase compared to the previous year. In the fourth quarter, the airport in the capital of Bahia posted growth of 11% compared to the same period in 2024, with 2.2 million passengers passing through the terminal between October and December 2025.

In terms of operations (landings and takeoffs), 57,600 commercial flights were recorded throughout 2025, an increase of 4.2% year over year. In the last quarter alone, there were 15,064 commercial movements, reinforcing the connectivity of the Bahian capital with domestic and international destinations.

Global performance of VINCI Airports

More than 334 million passengers traveled through VINCI Airports’ network in 2025, an increase of 5% compared to 2024. In the last quarter of the year, the network posted growth of 3.2% compared to the same period of the previous year, confirming robust performance across several regions. This growth reflects the upward trend in global air traffic.

In Europe, the airports of Budapest, Edinburgh, London Gatwick, and Lyon delivered strong performances driven by expanded seat capacity, stronger connections with international and Mediterranean destinations, and network development. In Portugal, Porto Airport recorded growth supported by the expansion of low-cost carriers and transatlantic routes, while Lisbon maintained solid performance, with long-haul flights to Asian and Latin American markets standing out.

In Latin America and Africa, air traffic also accelerated significantly. In Brazil, Salvador set traffic records in the fourth quarter, driven by GOL’s expansion and the strengthening of international operations, notably flights operated by TAP and Air Europa, as well as the seasonal reinforcement by Air France on the Salvador–Paris route. In Mexico, Monterrey Airport maintained growth close to 10%, while in Costa Rica, connections with the United States continued to drive passenger flows. Airports in Cape Verde also remained on an expansion path, supported by increased seat capacity and the launch of new connections with France and the United Kingdom.
