· Women hold 40% of leadership positions and represent nearly half of the employees working at Salvador Airport;

· Roundtable discussion was moderated by organizational mentor, coach, and writer Gladys Cazumbá.

March, 2025 – In celebration of Women’s Month, Salvador Bahia Airport, a member of the VINCI Airports network, held a roundtable discussion themed “Women in Motion: Professionals Transforming the Most Valued Competencies in Organizations.” The event took place on the morning of March 28, in the airport auditorium, moderated by organizational mentor, coach, and writer Gladys Cazumbá. Airport employees participated in the discussion, sharing their stories and inspiring their colleagues.

The discussion highlighted how women are leading the transformation of soft skills in the market, with emphasis on abilities such as communication, empathy, and collaboration. The initiative reinforces the airport’s commitment to diversity and gender equality, as well as celebrating women’s achievements in the professional environment.

“Gender diversity drives innovation and creativity, as different perspectives lead to more effective solutions. By empowering women, we contribute not only to social development but also to our sustainability and long-term growth. They bring essential skills like communication and collaboration that enrich team dynamics and create more productive environments,” said Isabela Dantas, Human Resources Manager at VINCI Airports Brazil.

Data from the latest census shows that 48% of the airport’s employees are women, who also hold 40% of leadership positions. Every year in March, Salvador Bahia Airport participates in a global Group assessment that measures professional equity between men and women across six key criteria: equal pay, distribution of raises, promotion opportunities, post-maternity leave policies, female representation in senior positions, and parity among the highest salaries. In 2025, the airport scored 99 (on a scale of up to 100), close to the maximum score.

The roundtable discussion concluded a cycle of internal actions for Women’s Month. The airport took part in an innovative campaign by VINCI Concessions that highlighted stories of female employees and their role models, including pioneers Bessie Coleman, Camille du Gast, and Alice Recoque – women who broke barriers in the mobility sector. The campaign, launched globally by VINCI Concessions on International Women’s Day, promotes professional equality and supports the feminization of its teams. In 2024, women made up 37% of the VINCI Concessions workforce, with a goal to reach 40% in leadership positions by 2026 – a target already achieved by Salvador Bahia Airport.
